It's a waste of time and a waste of SSD space on my laptop, and I always delete the backups immediately anyway. Have any of y'all found a way to just sync files from your Macs to your iPhones in Catalina without also backing up your phone? Pre-Catalina in iTunes this was fairly straightforward, but Finder seems determined to back up my iPhone every time I click "Sync," even if I'm just trying to copy one album from my Mac to my phone. I just upgraded from Mojave to Catalina (late to the party, I know) and the trick for sync'ing Documents that worked so well in Mojave fell over dead. Tl dr is there any way to sync iPhone through Finder without also backing it up? I just want to transfer some old mp3 files, not back up 33GB of stuff to my Mac's SSD.
